Strapi Sync system with Yachts API + Next.js site

Our role. Full stack developer.
Crewed luxury yacht charters site development using Strapi and Next.js. Ritzy Yachts needed one source of truth for a large, constantly changing fleet of charter yachts pulled from a third-party listings API. We built a Strapi backend that owns the content model and a sync layer that keeps it in step with the upstream feed.
What we built
- A scheduled sync job that pulls yachts, specs and pricing from the external API and writes them into Strapi content types.
- Conflict handling so manual edits made in the Strapi admin survive the next sync run.
- A Next.js front-end that reads from Strapi's REST API and statically generates yacht pages for fast loads and good SEO.
- Image pipeline that mirrors and optimizes photos from the source feed into Strapi's media library.
Result
The client's team now manages fleet content in one place, while the public site always reflects the latest availability and pricing without any manual copy-pasting.
